Biography

Ahmad Hasan Dani was a preeminent archaeologist, historian, and scholar who dedicated his life to uncovering and documenting the ancient civilisations of South Asia, particularly the Gandhara and Indus Valley cultures. He was a prolific author and held academic positions at leading universities in Pakistan. His Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 1969 recognised his extraordinary scholarly achievements.
