Biography

Munir Niazi was one of Pakistan's most beloved poets who wrote with equal mastery in both Urdu and Punjabi. His verse, characterised by lyrical beauty, romantic longing, and existential depth, found a wide readership across generations. He also contributed to Pakistani cinema as a lyricist. Awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2005, his poetry remains among the most cherished in the Pakistani literary canon.
